4. Harmonie Waves - 9:31 min
The two pieces Message from the Stars and Feelings were created in autumn 2018. Another homage to the handpan. The piece Handpan Emotions was created in Wuppertal, Germany. The video for it was created in my soundlab there. It was recorded live without much technology and later edited in Andalusia for digital release. The Bandcamp version also includes Harmonic Waves, which was created thanks to the kind loan of Maria Gabriela Assis and her monochord.

5. Karibien Night - 8:12 min
Fine Song was written in 2000 and was recorded as a direct live recording while playing. The original is about 30 minutes long and was realised in an installation with an Akai MPC 2000, Roland MC 303 and an Atari computer. The original was recorded on Dat. The piece is dedicated to my long-time supporter and friend Ernst Martin Walsken. The version used here was made by me many years later (ca 2008) After I uploaded it to my online service Dance all Day a few years later (ca 2012), it became very popular and was included on 7 other releases. A piece of timeless music that was created with the live recording method in mind.
Suma Drama was created back in 1998 and was one of my first experiments with the Roland MC 303, which was an absolute hit at the time. I recorded it with two cassette recorders which I mixed into the next recording via a mixing console. A piece that was then also included in a sampler by Günther Sahler (Gaukelie) in one of his lovingly made Edition Blechluft publications. It was released for the first time on the CD Edition Blechluft 3 (2003)
"Taobeat" was a competition entry. A group from Japan with Tao drums announced this competition and provided samples for it. In my already very avant-garde approach, I then created Taobeat from them. The entry took second place in this battle and thus also found a place on Affinity. It was created in 2006 in Wuppertal and was lovingly accompanied by my wife and muse Kerstin.
Up and down was another result of my experiments with the Roland MC 303 around 1999. Another recording session with a cassette recorder. It fitted nicely into the overall structure of Affinity and has found its place there

slow Rhythm was created 1 year before I emigrated to Spain. (2015). I used some instruments that Majidd Drums had built for me, especially the Uduwood. As well as instruments from the Indian cultural area, such as the Madga (North India) and the Gatham (South India). This music gently carries you away and allows you to take a journey into your inner self, where you can relax and unwind. This piece is dedicated to my great muse and life partner Katrin, without whom so much would never have been possible. Slow Rhythm was also re-released on many compilations after its release, which made me very happy.
Shamanic Transfer and the other pieces were all created in my new home in Spain. Each piece is a different facet of the rich world of rhythm. Inspired by Indian, Shamanic, Cuban and Latin music, this music was created in the mountains of a dreamlike landscape and deep peace. A peace that I had been searching for a long time and had not found in my original homeland. So this music is also an expression of my state at that time. 2017 was a turning point in my music
One person was very helpful to me in my involvement with the frame drum and taught me to love this instrument: Hakim Ludin, my teacher and mentor from 2012 onwards. A grandmaster of percussion with a penchant for mania in a positive sense when it comes to percussion as a whole. His playing was as precise as clockwork and so virtuosic that it fascinated and inspired me again and again.
In addition to his work as a teacher, he has toured with Konstatin Wecker and Peter Maffay and worked with many musicians from the world music scene, such as Dhaffer Youssef, Christof Spendel, Kenji and so many more.

In Dreaming Reality I worked intensively with a handpan. In this case, Terre`Music supplied me with a handpan riddim that is specially tuned to my percussive playing style and is tuned in F. I used it to record these tracks in my now somewhat expanded studio. The music was also inspired by the story of the Black Madonna, or rather Mary Magdalene, the wife of Jesus. Derived from this is the story of the Hieros Gamos of devoted love, which is basically the only true power. This can be read in particular in the books by Cathleen Mc Govern . This wonderful poetry then gave rise to these emotional pieces. An example of how a story can be told through sound without using words. Sound painting and channelling at the same time. Music to make you feel good
